The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In addition to the decrease in net sales, the Company recognized an impairment loss of ¥58 million on construction in progress as an extraordinary loss following the cancellation of plans to construct a new head office building in Nagano City. Because factors such as higher construction material prices already existed as of the end of the period, this impairment loss was reflected in the second-quarter financial results as a correcting subsequent event.
