In light of the recovery in orders in the Japan business, which has exceeded expectations since the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal year, the improvement in the cost ratio, and continued firm demand in overseas businesses, particularly in China and Southeast Asia, the forecasts for net sales and profit for the cumulative second quarter have been revised upward. The full-year forecast has also been revised upward to reflect the revised first-half forecast, while incorporating the risk of lower demand resulting from geopolitical risks in the Middle East and a gradual slowdown in the Chinese economy, with a cautious outlook assumed for the second half.
