The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue increased due to the provision of assistance services to major overseas non-life insurers, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's EMIS business, and contract reviews against a backdrop of growth in the number of cardholders at existing customers. Operating profit increased due to higher revenue and other factors, including a 5.4% year-on-year decline in selling, general and administrative expenses. Meanwhile, implementation costs for Genesys Cloud temporarily compressed profit in the Life Assistance business.
