These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Although market conditions in the industries served remained weak, net sales benefited from passing higher costs through to selling prices, increased sales volumes at overseas locations, and sales from newly consolidated subsidiaries. Operating income benefited from selling price revisions, an improved variable cost ratio, and the performance of newly consolidated subsidiaries. Net income was affected by the decline in extraordinary income from ¥1,263 million in the previous fiscal year to ¥28 million. The downward revision to the medium-term plan reflects the prolonged deterioration in the business environment, rising prices, labor shortages, the slowdown in the Chinese economy, higher crude oil and energy costs, geopolitical risks, higher US tariffs, and delays in launching new products.
