Although the domestic housing market and overseas sales performed well, net sales declined as growth slowed in the domestic non-residential sector and in the expansion of sales areas through application development. On the earnings front, cost reduction initiatives and price revisions contributed, while selling, general and administrative expenses also declined, partly due to a decrease in advertising expenses. In the Other business, lower sales to existing customers and higher costs resulting from foreign exchange effects reduced profit.
