The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue and operating profit increased due to stronger coordination between sales and rental operations for temporary construction equipment, expanded collaboration among business divisions led by the newly established Sales Headquarters, and increased sales of the new Albatross scaffolding system. Ordinary profit declined due to lower valuations of foreign-currency-denominated assets and other items, as well as foreign exchange losses, while the housing equipment and electronics segments reported lower revenue and lower profit.
