The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Stronger coordination between sales and rental operations for temporary construction equipment, expanded coordination among business divisions through the newly established Sales Headquarters, increased sales of the new "Albatross" scaffolding system, higher rental sales and revised rental rates contributed to higher sales and operating profit. Meanwhile, foreign exchange losses arising from the valuation of foreign-currency-denominated assets reduced ordinary profit, while the housing equipment-related business posted lower sales and profit due to weaker consumer sentiment amid rising prices, and the electronic equipment-related business posted lower sales and profit due to the impact of order-price revisions in the printed wiring board business.
