The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In addition to soaring resource and energy prices and the impact of trade policies in various countries, time was required to pass on the sharp increase in aluminum prices to selling prices. Procurement costs also rose due to the appreciation of the Chinese yuan, while companies' appetite for capital investment declined. The company also pursued active sales activities, cost reductions, productivity improvements and greater operational efficiency.
