The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

The stock market remained firm based on the interim results, and, following the Bank of Japan's policy rate hike, the consolidated subsidiary engaged in the banking business traded securities to rebalance its securities portfolio, resulting in ordinary revenues substantially exceeding the initial forecast. In addition, higher domestic interest rates and the rebalancing of the securities portfolio resulted in fund management revenues, including interest on loans and interest and dividends on securities, substantially exceeding the initial forecast. The dividend was increased in light of the upward revision to the full-year earnings forecast.
