「At our consolidated subsidiary Mitsui Kinzoku ACT, inventories had previously been valued using the cost method based on the first-in, first-out method. From the first quarter of the consolidated fiscal year under review, we changed to the cost method based on the moving-average method.」
Following a change in the core system, Mitsui Kinzoku ACT changed its inventory valuation method from FIFO to the moving-average method. The impact was immaterial, so the change was not applied retrospectively.
