Items this document does not state (11)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The company cited sluggish demand for ultrafine stainless steel wire, inventory adjustments for solar panels in China and substitution with metals other than stainless steel, capacity underutilization losses caused by lower ultrafine wire volumes, and higher labor costs as factors behind the decline in profit. It also explained that the decline in nickel prices increased the benefit from lower material procurement costs and that demand for ultra-precision gas filters increased.
