The narrower it becomes toward the bottom, the smaller the proportion of revenue that remains as profit. 塗りつぶした部分が自己資本比率です。総資産のうち、返済のいらない自前の資金がどれだけかを表します。The thin vertical line indicates the level at the end of the previous fiscal year.
Sluggish order volumes and lower sales volume, together with increases in material prices, energy costs and personnel expenses, reduced revenue and pressured earnings. These factors were offset by sales price revisions and the elimination of one-time expenses related to the test operation of an electric furnace in the previous fiscal year, which improved operating income. Ordinary income was affected by higher interest expenses and the recording of arrangement fees for a syndicated loan. Net income attributable to owners of the parent declined because the ¥151 million settlement proceeds received in the previous fiscal year were absent and a ¥14 million loss on disposal of fixed assets was recorded.

The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Sales volume declined as order volumes from water utilities and other customers remained sluggish, while material and energy prices and personnel expenses also increased. On the other hand, sales price revisions and the elimination of one-time expenses related to the test operation of an electric furnace in the previous fiscal year boosted operating income. Net income deteriorated because the ¥151 million settlement proceeds received in the previous fiscal year were absent and a ¥14 million loss on disposal of fixed assets was recorded in the current period, among other factors.
