Orders for cast steel products used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment exceeded expectations, resulting in an expected increase in full-year shipment volumes. In addition, some selling price revisions resulting from higher material costs had not been included in the earnings forecasts because negotiations were ongoing, but the revisions have now been approved and incorporated into the forecasts. For profit, the Company has factored in incremental costs, including higher material prices and increased outsourcing costs to address delivery schedules resulting from increased production, in addition to the effects of the selling price revisions. The impact of increased orders and selling price revisions on earnings is expected to arise mainly from the second half of the fiscal year, and the earnings forecasts for the second quarter (interim period) remain unchanged. The impact of the warehouse fire on earnings is expected to be limited.
