Reason for the revision

For the interim period, shipments for low-level radioactive waste disposal in the environmental construction field of the bentonite business were pushed back. However, against a backdrop of firm demand for agricultural chemicals in contract processing for the agri business, orders for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides exceeded the initial plan. For the full year, the company incorporated the factors behind the changes through the interim period, assumed that results from the third quarter onward would be in line with the initial plan, and took into account the impact of the uncertain situation in the Middle East.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

For the interim period, shipments for low-level radioactive waste disposal in the bentonite business were pushed back. However, demand for agricultural chemicals remained firm in contract processing for the agri business, and orders for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides exceeded the initial plan. For the full year, the company incorporated the factors behind the changes through the interim period, assumed that results from the third quarter onward would be in line with the initial plan, and also took into account the impact of the uncertain situation in the Middle East.
