Reason for the revision

Although uncertainty about the outlook persists due to higher energy and resource prices resulting from unstable international conditions, rising labor and logistics costs, and the impact of volatility in financial markets, orders have grown steadily as the core electronic components industry remains strong and have stayed at a high level since the beginning of the fiscal year. Since the impact on the second half remains uncertain and forecasting is difficult due to uncertainty surrounding the situation in the Middle East and rare-earth export restrictions resulting from deteriorating Japan-China relations, the year-end dividend has been left unchanged from the initial forecast.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Orders have grown steadily as the core electronic components industry remains strong, and have stayed at a high level since the beginning of the fiscal year. Accordingly, the company revised upward its earnings forecasts for the interim period and full year. However, the impact on the second half remains uncertain due to the situation in the Middle East and rare-earth export restrictions resulting from deteriorating Japan-China relations, so the year-end dividend remains unchanged.
