The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Core operating profit increased due to higher gross profit resulting from changes in revenue, changes in the cost-of-sales ratio, foreign exchange effects, and higher selling, general and administrative expenses. Operating profit increased due to the absence of impairment losses and other items recorded in the previous fiscal year, as well as the recognition of ¥1,524 million in insurance proceeds related to the hail damage at the Kakogawa Plant. Net profit increased despite the recognition of ¥1,228 million in deferred tax expense, primarily due to the increase in operating profit.
