Reason for the revision

Net sales and operating profit are expected to exceed the previously announced forecasts because, among other factors, demand for high-value-added products used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment has been exceeding the initial forecast amid favorable conditions in the semiconductor industry. In addition, the performance of equity-method affiliates has remained strong due to growing demand for products for the semiconductor industry, and ordinary profit and profit attributable to owners of the parent are also expected to exceed the previously announced forecasts.
