「We adopted the Accounting Standard for Revenue Recognition (ASBJ Statement No. 29, 31 March 2020) and other relevant standards from the beginning of the first quarter accounting period. Revenue is recognized at the amount expected to be received in exchange for the promised goods or services when control of those goods or services transfers to the customer. As a result, part of the consideration paid to customers that had been recorded as selling, general and administrative expenses as sales-promotion expenses is now deducted from revenue.」
Applied the revenue recognition standard from the beginning of the first quarter of 2022 and changed the presentation of part of sales-promotion expenses from SG&A to a deduction from revenue.
