Reason for the revision

Sales increased in the Agricultural Chemicals and Agriculture-Related Businesses and the Fine Chemicals Business. Operating profit declined due to the recognition of inventory valuation losses resulting from lower market prices following generic competition with the overseas herbicide 「アクシーブ」. The decline in ordinary profit narrowed due to higher equity-method investment gains and foreign exchange gains from the weaker yen. Net income declined mainly because of extraordinary losses, including impairment losses on fixed assets and restructuring costs.
