The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

As part of a review of its business portfolio, the company decided to transfer the engage business and strengthened its core businesses, including en転職, but revenue from en転職 continued to decline. Although engage reduced expenses such as advertising costs, this was insufficient to offset the profit decline resulting from lower revenue. In contrast to the ¥5,456 million gain on sales of investment securities recorded in the previous fiscal year, there were no significant extraordinary gains in the current fiscal year.
