Revenue increased due to sales of income-generating properties, but gross profit declined because the gross margin on those properties fell below expectations and a provision for order-related losses was recognized in the construction consulting business. In addition, ordinary income deteriorated due to a decrease in foreign exchange gains associated with the paid-in capital reduction and an increase in expenses related to the issuance of stock acquisition rights, among other factors.
A description of matters requiring attention is included. Although the Company recognizes events or circumstances that could raise substantial doubt about the going-concern assumption, including the possibility of operating losses and negative operating cash flow, it has determined that no material uncertainty exists.
