The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the Solutions Business, demand for conventional systems development declined as the business shifted toward cloud services and next-generation AI. In the Entertainment Business, the number of highly profitable self-produced performances decreased because the company appeared at events related to the Osaka-Kansai Expo, among others. Ticket sales also declined because the nationwide touring performances were shorter in duration and held fewer times than performances in metropolitan areas. In addition, the company recorded costs for hiring and training AI personnel, research and development expenses for new AI solutions, costs related to reassessing certain assets, losses on valuation of investment securities and impairment losses.
