Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

The Communications business reported higher revenue, while the Data Services business reported lower revenue. The Advertising business included the financial results of 株式会社新旭 for the period from February 2025 through January 2026, with revenue from the planning and operation of large-scale sporting events contributing to results. On the cost side, costs in the Advertising business, amortization of goodwill, personnel expenses and other costs increased. Net income decreased due to the recognition of an impairment loss on goodwill and the absence of gains on the sale of investment securities, gains on the sale of subsidiary shares and other gains recorded in the previous fiscal year.

The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Revenue reflected higher revenue from the Communications business, lower revenue from the Data Services business, the inclusion of the financial results of 株式会社新旭 in the Advertising business, and the transfer of shares in the subsidiary that succeeded to the Mobile business. Operating profit increased despite higher costs in the Advertising business, amortization of goodwill, personnel expenses and other costs. Net income attributable to owners of the parent decreased due to an impairment loss on goodwill arising from the consolidation of 新旭 as a subsidiary and the absence of gains on the sale of investment securities and subsidiary shares and other gains recorded in the previous fiscal year.
