The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the Media and Content business, the recovery in Fuji Television's broadcasting revenue and advertising revenue from streaming, strong performance in digital and animation, and the return to profitability of Pony Canyon and dinos contributed to higher revenue and profit. In the Urban Development and Tourism business, the decline following the previous fiscal year's condominium sales and other factors, hotel renovations and temporary closures, and the decline following the opening period of Kobe Suma Sea World contributed to lower revenue and profit. The decline in net income was mainly due to the reversal of the gain on the sale of investment securities recorded in the previous year.
