The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the Public Sector segment, strong sales of bundled proprietary software and surveying equipment increased revenue and profit. In the Mobility & DX segment, contracted projects such as autonomous driving social implementation services and 3D map creation expanded, but the segment loss increased because revenue recognition tends to be concentrated at the fiscal year-end and due to upfront investment. In addition, the Company recorded an approximately ¥50 million valuation loss as the market value of its investment securities declined.
