The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, costs increased due to statutory inspections at the Tomakomai Power Plant and turbine upgrades in preparation for stable future operations. In addition, the period during which the power plant could not operate at full capacity was prolonged, and a provision was recorded for the costs of processing increased plastic fuel inventories. Changes in the solar power generation market and intensifying competition also reduced revenue in the energy segment. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company plans to pursue new customer development, hiring and store openings, expansion of sales channels for self-consumption solar power generation, and increased intake volumes in the resource-circulation business.
