Items this document does not state (13)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the Electronics business, sales volumes increased for materials used in PKG substrates, supported by the spread of AI, as well as materials used in rigid substrates for automotive and smartphone applications. In the Pharmaceutical business, results benefited from higher contract manufacturing volumes from new and existing customers, increased demand due to supply shortages of equivalent drugs from other companies, and price increases for some products under drug price revisions. The appreciation of the yen had a negative impact. The dividend policy was reviewed because a tender offer is scheduled to be conducted.
