「Kansai Plascon Tanzania Ltd., a subsidiary of Kansai Plascon East Africa (Pty) Ltd., which is a consolidated subsidiary of the Company, is currently involved in a dispute following an assessment of tax underpayment in a tax audit by the Tanzania Revenue Authority. In connection with this matter, the Company has estimated a reasonable amount based on currently available information, taking into account the opinions of lawyers and others. However, if a revision becomes necessary due to changes in circumstances or other factors, this could have a material impact on the consolidated financial statements for the next consolidated fiscal year.」
The Company newly disclosed that its Tanzanian subsidiary had been assessed as having underpaid taxes in a tax audit and was involved in a dispute. The related corporate income tax, local taxes and enterprise tax were recorded at ¥1,967 million.
