The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In addition to higher revenue, increases in materials costs, personnel expenses, and inventories were recorded, while lower utilities expenses and reduced operating costs following the closure of the Akita Analysis Center contributed to profit. Continued bulk orders for EIA measurement kits overseas and higher ELISA sales for Klotho and Titin also contributed to revenue growth. Non-operating gains and losses, including foreign exchange gains and losses, insurance surrender value gains, and subsidy income, were also factors behind the increase in profit.
