The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue has been revised upward because, in addition to the increase in revenue resulting from the weaker yen, product sales of Enhertu in the United States have been performing strongly, exceeding expectations. Core operating profit remains unchanged because, while gross profit is expected to increase with higher sales, the weaker yen is expected to reduce profit and profit-sharing costs are expected to increase as Enhertu sales grow. Operating profit and profit before tax have been revised upward following the recognition of a reversal of the provision for compensation related to the cancellation of investment at the Odawara Plant. Profit for the period and profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent have been revised downward due to the expected increase in income taxes and other taxes.
