The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In the household pharmaceuticals and other products sales business, the company worked on revising selling prices and other terms, developing and renewing products, consignment sales including home-placement sales, expanding store private-label products and cross-selling, and selling summer and heatstroke-prevention products. In the water sales business, demand for the core 12-liter bottles remained firm, supported by disaster-preparedness stockpiling and heatstroke-prevention needs, while sales of water-related products fell below the year-earlier period.
