The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.The Company stated that it already formulates a medium-term management plan and discloses its progress, and that having the Board of Directors formulate and implement plans based on the cost of capital, the operating environment and the characteristics of the business will contribute to enhancing corporate value over the medium to long term. It also stated that, because the pharmaceutical business requires long periods of research and development and is significantly affected by government policy, an annual revision requirement would not align with the business cycle and could result in excessive emphasis on short-term performance and damage medium- to long-term growth.
