Launch of a joint study on stablecoin-based cross-border remittances to improve trade efficiency between Hong Kong and Japan

Four companies, including Speee’s subsidiary Datachain, have begun a joint study of a proof of concept for cross-border payments between Hong Kong and Japan using stablecoins denominated in Japanese yen and Hong Kong dollars. The study will test the process from issuing remittance requests and converting stablecoins into fiat currency to receiving the fiat currency.
