The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. The potential for deploying conventional solar power generation in urban areas is limited by a lack of installation space, landscape regulations, extreme heat and the urban heat island effect. JDSC also cites contributing to the deployment of renewable energy technologies and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s zero-emissions goals as reasons for the project.
