The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Net income attributable to owners of the parent decreased due to the recognition of a ¥296.928 million loss related to trust-based stock options. The loss resulted from changing part of the third series of stock acquisition rights from the stock-option grant type to the share-delivery type. In addition, the loss was not deductible for tax purposes, and therefore did not reduce income taxes, resulting in a higher effective tax rate than in the same period of the previous year.
