Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Revenue and operating profit increased due to higher personnel expenses resulting from wage increases and other factors, and a decline in prescription volumes at existing stores in the regional pharmacy division, mainly due to a decrease in patients with acute conditions, was more than offset by an increase in new members in the pharmaceutical network division and improved profitability in the pharmaceutical logistics division, which began operations in the previous fiscal year.
