Operating income and ordinary income also increased with the growth in electronic medical record system sales, but interim net income attributable to owners of the parent was in line with the year-earlier period because an impairment loss related to “Doctor Connect” was recorded.

The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. Two large electronic medical record system projects went live at the same time, and several projects scheduled for the third quarter onward also went live ahead of schedule, increasing net sales, operating income and ordinary income. Meanwhile, the originally projected revenue from “Doctor Connect” was no longer expected, so an impairment loss of ¥148.467 million was recorded as an extraordinary loss. As a result, interim net income attributable to owners of the parent was in line with the year-earlier period.
