Items this document does not state (13)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. In semiconductor materials, the recovery in demand for spacer tape and increased orders resulting from sales activities targeting Taiwan and China contributed to growth. In hygiene testing equipment and materials, sales to the food-service industry, including inbound demand, remained firm. In PIM, sales of high-performance components, including turbo components for automobiles and components for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, remained firm. Company-wide, the increase in operating income was attributed to higher sales, appropriate pricing adjustments, higher gross profit, and a lower SG&A ratio.
