Factors Behind Changes in Business Performance

Revenue benefited from the launch of the “Roihi Tsuboko TM Coin Plaster” in South Korea and price revisions for “Tabanera TM Tape.” Operating profit declined due to lower sales of high-gross-margin products and higher cost of sales in the tape business resulting from soaring raw material costs and other factors. Net income attributable to owners of the parent declined due in part to the recognition of ¥133 million in head office and Tokyo office relocation expenses and ¥183 million in plant restructuring expenses related to the removal of equipment at the Anjo plant.
