Items this document does not state (11)
These are items the company does not state in this document. We do not leave them blank, nor fill them in from other sources or by inference.
The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. For the fiscal year ended March 2026, operating income declined due to lower acetate tow sales in the Materials business, carryover inventory, and higher depreciation expenses for new plants, among other factors. Net income declined due to the recognition of a ¥32.4 billion impairment loss at the second COC plant in Germany. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, higher sales volumes and improved operations at the CO plant are expected, while lower acetate tow selling prices, higher pulp prices, and increases in personnel and R&D expenses are also anticipated.
