The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Net sales were below the initial forecast because subsidy utilization consulting fell short of expectations due to a decline in approval rates following changes to subsidy programs. Operating income exceeded forecast as a result of cost reductions and improved operating efficiency. Ordinary income was below forecast mainly because part of the subsidy income was reclassified from non-operating income to extraordinary gains. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was below forecast due to lower sales, the recognition of extraordinary losses and the reversal of deferred tax assets.
