The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Orders for system development projects increased against a backdrop of a recovery in the semiconductor market and strong investment demand. In DX, business expanded with both new and existing customers, while AI progressed as planned despite R&D taking priority in the first half. In addition to higher revenue, the improvement in gross profit margin from 29.7% to 30.9% contributed to the increase in operating profit.
