The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

Contract development revenue declined due to the suspension of a joint development project, but this was more than offset by a substantial increase in license revenue driven by higher production volumes of new vehicles equipped with the Company's licensed products. Expenses also declined as depreciation and amortization charges related to the impairment loss recorded in the previous fiscal year decreased. To improve management efficiency, the Beijing subsidiary in China was liquidated, and the Company transitioned to standalone financial statements from the fourth quarter.
