「Costs relating to certain personnel in business divisions had previously been recorded under “Research and development expenses” within selling, general and administrative expenses. To present the substance of these costs more appropriately, the Company changed the method of recording them from the beginning of the current interim consolidated accounting period, and now records them under “Employee salaries and bonuses” within selling, general and administrative expenses. The previous interim consolidated accounting period has been presented using the revised method, resulting in a ¥90 million increase in “Employee salaries and bonuses” and a ¥90 million decrease in “Research and development expenses” within selling, general and administrative expenses.」
The presentation classification of costs relating to certain business division personnel was changed from research and development expenses to employee salaries and bonuses. The same period of the previous year was also reclassified using the revised method, with each item changing by ¥90 million.
