The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. This was due to the downsizing and termination of existing projects following revisions to development plans in the automotive-related business, delays in recognizing revenue from large-scale projects, and a deterioration in the cost-of-sales ratio caused by delays in passing on surging semiconductor and key component prices and procurement difficulties to selling prices. A recovery is expected in the second half through resource reallocation, winning new projects, price revisions, stricter procurement rules and cost reductions.
