Although the joint research ended when the contract expired and was not renewed, work progressed toward verification for commercialization and mass production, demand creation and establishing domestic manufacturing capabilities based on results including lead-free materials, a 15% improvement in power-conversion efficiency and a low-temperature manufacturing process.
