The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.Revenue was driven by Vertical HR, centered on Ties, with growth in existing businesses and the effects of M&A also contributing. On the profit side, the company expanded its workforce in the recruitment placement business and increased marketing and systems investment, including software development. However, these upfront investments and changes in the business mix resulting from M&A constrained the rate of profit growth.
