The reasons the company gives
The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers. For the full year, revenue and earnings declined due to intensifying customer-acquisition competition among certain existing media businesses and restraint in advertising spending. In addition, a ¥599 million valuation loss associated with the decline in crypto-asset prices weighed on ordinary income. In the fourth quarter, strong performance and revenue growth in D2C supported adjusted EBITDA.
