「MRI has submitted views on the revision of the GHG Protocol, including comments to the Scope 2 public consultation, and has published columns analyzing the potential impact of the revisions. We will continue to monitor developments in the GHG Protocol review process and organize the implications for GHG accounting practices and decarbonization management at Japanese companies. We will also make the fullest use of our knowledge gained through involvement in considering and organizing accounting rules to support the advancement of corporate decarbonization management, decarbonization-related businesses, renewable-energy policy and the low-carbon product market through research, advice and information dissemination.」
MRI has submitted views on the GHG Protocol’s new reporting framework and set out a policy of continuing institutional analysis, research, advice and information dissemination, while supporting initiatives in decarbonization-related fields.
