Revised forecast
Fiscal year ending February 2027 · Second quarter (interim period)Previous forecast published 10 April 2026The bar length represents the relative magnitude of change, based on the item that changed the most in this document.
Although an exceptionally warm spring at the start of the season led to early sales of spring products and existing businesses also exceeded the previous year, unfavourable weather from June onward caused demand for summer products to stagnate, and net sales fell below plan. The selling, general and administrative expense ratio improved as a result of structural reforms, including improved advertising cost-effectiveness and personnel cost efficiency, but this was insufficient to offset the sales shortfall, and operating profit fell below forecast. Meanwhile, ¥849 million in distributions and other payments from pure investment holdings was recognised as dividends received, resulting in ordinary profit and interim net income exceeding forecast.
